Privacy Policy

Little Bloomers ("the App") is operated by Degen Technology ("we," "us," "our"). The App is made for children ages 3–10 and is meant to be used together with a parent or guardian. This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

This policy applies only to the Little Bloomers app. Our other products are covered by our general privacy notice.

1. Information we collect

We practice data minimization — we collect only what's needed to create and save stories:

  • Story ideas — the short prompt your child types, used to generate a story and then stored as part of that story so it can be re-read.

  • Generated content — the stories, illustrations, narration, and coloring created in the App.

  • Account identifier — an ID used to save your library. The App signs in anonymously by default, so no account is required to start.

  • Email address — only if you choose to create an account (optional, via Sign in with Apple or email).

  • Subscription status and usage counts — e.g. how many stories were made, used for billing and to prevent abuse.

  • Basic technical/device information — used to operate the service and keep it secure.

We do not collect contact lists, precise location, photos, or any personal information beyond the above.

2. How we use information

We use the information to: create and display your child's stories; save and sync your library; provide narration and coloring; check content for safety; process subscriptions; prevent abuse; and operate, secure, and improve the App.

3. Artificial intelligence and third-party processing

The App uses AI to create stories, illustrations, and narration. To do this, the text your child enters and the content generated for them is processed by the following providers, acting on our behalf:

  • OpenAI — receives the story idea to (a) check it for safety (content moderation) and (b) generate the story text, illustrations, and narration audio. We use OpenAI via its API and do not permit this content to be used to train its models.

  • Supabase — backend hosting, database, and storage (encrypted in transit and at rest).

  • RevenueCat — processes and validates subscription purchases.

  • Apple — provides Sign in with Apple (optional) and handles all payments.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising. Each provider receives only the data needed to perform its function.

4. No advertising or tracking

Little Bloomers contains no third-party advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party behavioral analytics. We do not track children across apps or websites.

5. Children's privacy (COPPA)

Little Bloomers is intended for children used with a parent or guardian.

  • Parental gate. Purchases, account creation, and links that leave the App are placed behind a parental gate (a challenge an adult completes) so a child cannot perform them alone.

  • Verifiable parental involvement. Subscriptions are managed by the parent through their Apple ID; account creation is optional and adult-gated.

  • Parental rights. A parent or guardian may, at any time, review their child's information, request its deletion, or refuse further collection. You can delete the account and all stories, coloring, and account data directly in the App under Settings → Delete Account, or by contacting us (below).

  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described in this policy, and never without parental involvement through the App.

6. How we share information

We share information only with the service providers listed in Section 3, only as needed to run the App. We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a business transfer, in which case this policy continues to apply. We never sell your information.

7. Data retention and deletion

We retain a child's stories and account data only while the account is active. Deleting the account (Settings → Delete Account) permanently removes the stories, coloring data, and account information. Anonymous sessions with no saved account are retained only as needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

9. International users

The App and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries. By using the App, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
